About Ubirider App

Ubirider serves as a mobile intermediary, seamlessly connecting travellers with mobility operators.

The Challenges

Ubirider approached us with a requirement to develop a digital platform in the form of a mobile app that integrates all transport modes into a seamless travel experience. The app enables travelers to plan their trips, make payments, and receive guided directions to their destinations—all within a single, cohesive solution.

Business Solutions

We designed two apps in two different languages: English and Portuguese.

App for Driver/Inspector: We developed a mobile app for handheld ticket printing that enables transport operators and drivers to manage ridership and fare collection in real time without additional infrastructure. Through this app, the inspector can sell tickets to passengers boarding without tickets, and drivers can validate tickets by tapping a traveler’s NFC card or scanning the QR code. It displays a real-time view of stoppages and current locations, which is particularly helpful for newly onboarded drivers. While on a journey, the driver/TC can report issues such as road closures, accidents, delays in arrival, and cleaning-related concerns to the back office. A Cashup feature prints a summary of the entire journey—detailing total tickets sold, validated, cancelled, or total cash collected—on a receipt that is submitted with the cash at their office.
App for POS: Nickelfox developed a mobile app named Pick TicketOffice by Ubirider for Android devices. This app is designed for operators at bus stop counters and is intended for large devices (screen size 15.6 inches). It allows one-time visitors and local travelers to plan door-to-door travel, pay, and ride to all destinations using the best transport combination. Ticket sellers had the following options for sales:

Issue new pass
Recharge/Reload existing pass
Issue other types of ticket (single paper ticket, daily ticket, special ticket, tourist tickets, etc.).
